DESIGN/BUILD
When the roles of Designer and Builder are integrated in a team the results are beautiful, joyful, and efficient. We balance object-oriented design with process-oriented design so that the work flows well, and decision makers are on site to meet challenges with a full understanding of the possibilities of the materials as well as the priorities of the project.
HEMPCRETE
This guild came together through a delightful hempcrete workshop.
Hempcrete is a mix of building lime and hemp hurds (and agricultural waste product), that is insulative, fireproof, moldproof, and sturdy.
EARTHEN PLASTERS
Clay or Lime plaster finishes are the living skin of a natural building. They protect the walls, modulate temperature and humidity, and act gorgeous all day. For optimal performance and color calibration, we mix and apply samples on site long before the full plaster crew arrives.
